Tailor Welded Blanks are joining together by laser welding of two different sheets of various thickness / several grade / different coatingswithout any deviation in strength and coating of parent materials. This manufacturing process allows ensures the right part is used in right locationin the right thickness for a real “tailor-made” solution for the customer after stamping. Tailored blanks are nowadays especially in use in the automotive construction, for the body in white and the closures of a car.
